Installation Guide
Note: Before the installation,
turn off the power to your computer and other connected peripheral devices,
unplug the power cord, remove the computer's cover, and remove the computer's front cover
plate from the 5.25-inch drive bay you plan to install your Mobile Rack into.
Step (1) Remove the Inner Rack from the outer frame
by lifting up the handle and pulling it out.
Step (2) Remove the Top Cover with little force
from the back side of the Inner Rack.
Step (3) Attach the power and IDE cables from the
Mobile Rack drive case to the drive. The power connector is 'D' shaped to correctly orient
the connector. The colored stripe on the IDE cable should be closest to the power
connector. (Make sure the correct connection to avoid the electronic damage.)
Step (4) Carefully position the drive inside
the Inner Rack and secure it using the supplied mounting screws.
Step (5) Slide the Inner Rack cover back on.
Step (6) Connect the data cable from the system
motherboard to the connector of the outer frame. Most connectors are keyed for proper
insertion. If there is no key, orient the cable so the pin-1 colored stripe edge is
closest to the power connector. Attach the power cable as well.
(Make sure the correct connection to avoid the electronic damage.)
Step (7) Lift up the handle of Inner Rack
and push the Inner Rack into Outer Frame until it stops.
Step (8) Push the handle down with a little force,
the Inner Rack will be automatically plugged into Outer Frame. The installation of Mobile
Rack is complete and ready to use.
